 The Ash River
is well known for its clean and clear
water, natural beauty, excellent fishing and close proximity to
Voyageurs National Park. The Ash River begins 20 miles south
at Ash Lake. It flows north from there to Ash River Falls where the navigable part of
the river starts. From the falls, you can travel down stream past
cottages, beautiful rock cliffs and resorts
to the rivers end as it empties into Sullivan Bay and Kabetogama and Namakan
Lakes. This is the southern part of the Canadian Shield, representing some
of the oldest exposed rock formations in the world. This bedrock has been

range of facilities including dining, resorts, houseboat rentals, gift
